Mission Oaks Cafe in Camarillo

Been here a few times and really enjoyed the food but after today I'm not sure I'll be going back. Waited 50 minutes to get our hamburger, tuna melt, and kids pancake. Watched 3 other tables who showed up after we ordered get their food before us. Watched Mr. Chao and his family come in order and receive their food 10 minutes after ordering. The wait staff is great but something must be going on with the kitchen staff.

Love the food and people there.

Tortilla soup and carnitas taco were delicious, fresh and hot, great service

Poor team work. I sat for @ least 8 mins. Before anyone asked what I'd like to drink & take my orders & there weren't really too many customers. I felt that someone else could have stepped in to help this server. Mishaps after that. Also asked for a container for my food to take home as I pored the salsa over my food. She could not comprehend that it was for my large portion of Mexican food---not for salsa that no longer existed---I then felt things were getting a little ridiculous. I then learned from a server who had some common sense that there's been a recent change in ownership--so benefit of doubt for now.

Incredible food - and fresh!. Great atmosphere. New owners are fantastic :)We can't wait to come back.

Mo's (mission oaks cafe) is a family oriented restaurant/and a bar is welcoming, with tasty food, and about 6 large tv's with sports playing. Also, there is live music in the evening on certain nights. There's pasta night, taco Tuesday, Sunday open mic, bring your own music, sing, play, or just tap your foot. Its all good.

Jazz in Camarillo. What's not to like?

Just don't like the menu change. I used to visit often, now not so much!

If a place gives me the same level of service that a 40 dollar a plate restaurant gives you, I am impressed. This restaurant used to be gross, but management changed and it is amazing. I came in during happy hour and asked for veggie tacos, but those weren't currently available, so the waitress came up with a delicious idea of avocado and cheese tacos. I then told them my long list of severe allergies. Without telling me the tacos came with hot sauce the waitress had the cooks remove it, which is a rarity at restaurants. By doing that I avoided a major allergic reaction, so I gave a hundred percent tip. Sure, 100 percent of 5.36 cents isn't a lot, but it was the level of service that I was given that was worth a 100 percent tip. I plan to come here again. No, I don't usually give 100 percent tips.

Food was good. All came out together and at the proper temp. That night was open mic and had a small town feel. I did not care for the speed of service and think the staff could be trained a little more.

Hadn't been for awhile, glad I went back! Try the fried cheese cauliflower starter, yum!!

Wonderful decor, friendly service, and a wonderful meal. They made a mistake in my take out order delivered a corrected order to my home at no extra charge an gave me a free lunch. the management was so helpful especially Jeff. very family friendly and great prices. i will be coming here again.

Enjoyed a good burger. Met the owner, cool guy. Staff is young and will have to grow more into their positions. Great music later on creating an even better atmosphere.

This is a new café, under new ownership and it is fabulous. If you have been in the past, you MUST go back. Great food, great atmosphere.

THE ENTIRE TOWN OF CAMARILLO loves this place! It's a wonderful place for get togethers, often have live music, great food, WONDERFUL service!I often bring a 90 year old man who gets pampered.

Thought the food was very good.. Chili Verde omelet exceptional..everything was cooked to perfection and the staff was great..we will definitely come back.

Went to see a local band here good venue. The food I would say is so so hit-or-miss.

Breakfast was not very good. Eggs and potatoes were very dry like they had been sitting around an hour after they had been cooked. Don't believe the hours that Google says they are open. There are no hours posted on the doors so they can close anytime it gets too slow.

Bland food. Service was a buch of people that were more interested in eating and hanging out at a table by the bar. This place at one time had good food (best coke ever) and great service. Gone down hill after new ownership. Jessica's cafe for us from now on.

My husband and I went to Mission Oaks Cafe for the first time last weekend.The new decor is beautiful, great atmosphere. The wait staff couldn't be better and food was amazing. The chef came out to meet us and ask how the food was. Prices are very good! We'll definitely go back soon and take family and friends.

The service here is not good at all. Our waitress was very rude and never came to check on us. As for the food it is alright but there are many more places to go to for a better price

I was at a business meeting where Mission Oaks Cafe catered the breakfast. Wow. The set-up was very efficient, and the food was absolutely delicious. I'm going to use these guys the next time I have to have an event catered.

Good food, but the live music on Friday was a little too loud and started too early (7pm) for a quiet intimate dinner.

Used grub hub (great service ) Food prep was an hour in so I called and a guy picked up and before I could tell him my order he said “it’s on it’s way”I asked if he could check the order number and he went silent so I asked to speak to a supervisor to check the order numberHe said “there is no supervisor here.”Then he claimed there was no one else available to speak with and when I asked what his name was he hung up on me and no one picked up when I called backWaited five minutes and spoke with a Sarah who, after I’d asked if she was a supervisor, laughed at me and said “I can be..” (I could hear the guy saying something in the background)She said the manager is a Matt ChoiMatt : retrain your staff because that is incredibly rude customer service Feel free to contact me if you have any questions

Nice little bar and grill. Great place to watch the games.

Slowest service 30 minutes after order placed for two salads and mac and cheese. Avoid the wait.

I want to love this cafe since they have done such a wonderful remodel, but for me it's all about the food. Our food today was horrible. I tried both of the soups and the chicken tortilla had a layer of fat on it while the other, spinach ham, soup was over seasoned and salted. My husband's breakfast was a problem as well. The pork sausages were under-cooked and his hash browns weren't browned enough. The last time we ate there, the waffles were under cooked. The waitress was very nice, but sadly, the food isn't.

Pretty good cafe that I take my family frequently to dine. The staff is usually attentive, except this last time when we waited forever to get our check and it wasn't even busy.

Fabulous food and atmosphere! Amazing staff, everyone from their hostesses, servers, and bartenders, all the way to the management! A great new vibe... just what Camarillo needed! This is a fabulous neighborhood hangout. What a transformation!

Excellent food, excellent service and lots of tv's. And soft serve yogurt. I could back again tomorrow.

Great place to have a drink. Lot's of TV's for sporting events with great salads and appetizers.

The food is ok. Service kind of sucked. The waiter (he was the only one) disappeared for long periods of time. We heard other tables complaining quietly. I had the chicken Cobb salad it was great. My friend had the BLT in a wrap which was recommended by the waiter and it was good. If only he had been more present in the room.

Enjoyed a good tuna melt and great onion rings and some live music from some Camarillo High Students, I believe!

Wonderful place for my Friend Paul and I to wind down after our AWA Ozone Project Presentation. Now off to Vegas to represent CA-NV, AWWA sector!

I had worked here for about a year. October of 2017 to November of 2018. I will say no more other than I am severely disappointed in what the company has become.
